Start the updated look by choosing a multi-colored throw pillow for your wing chair, or if you¡¯re seamstress, chose a new multi-colored fabric and sew a new throw pillow. Pick a color from the throw pillow that contrast¡¯s the wing chair¡¯s upholstery and purchase oil-based, high gloss enamel paint in that shade. Lightly sand the wooden legs of the wing chair with medium grit sandpaper and apply a coat of primer. You can remove the legs of the wing chair for painting or use painter¡¯s tape and leave the legs intact. When the primer is dry, apply two coats of the enamel paint, allowing plenty of drying time between paint coats.
