A Chair For All Occassions (April 2, 2008)The Hybrid chair may be used as a dining chair, a stool, an ottoman or lined up together - a bench. It consists of 2 components, a base and a back, plus some supplied stainless steel hardware items. With the back in place, you??ve got yourself a dining chair. Removing it produces a stool or an ottoman. Multiple ottomans can be linked together to form a bench of any desired length. The design of the piece was arrived at by experimenting with the simplest of forms, the bent ??U?? shape base was inspired by a marine shackle proving to be simple yet incredibly strong and stable. Like the base of the chair, the back is simple and minimal in form. The geometry of the 2 components is almost childlike and quite playful in its simplicity, whilst displaying a humorous personality.
